According to EveryMac, the PowerComputing models mentioned above had a case option for either desktop or tower. So, more than likely, the unit being discussed is simply a tower version.

The PDS slot is kinda interesting...the old Apple IIe emulator cards used this slot (but unfortunately, this card apparently doesn't support 24-bit addressing which means it only works with older OSs and older Macs). The PDS slot is more commonly used for ethernet cards.

As you are no doubt aware, Nubus systems are not in high demand and not many people are going to pay more than $50 for it. The model in question doesn't have a daughtercard slot for CPU upgrades, although I guess a Nubus-based processor upgrade will work...I peronally think you'd be better off finding a PowerCurve, PowerCenter, or PowerTower and upgrading that.
Similarly, the PowerWave model had an option for 2 PCI slots *AND* 2 Nubus slots.
