The acceleration of Change and Technology is mind boggling. I bought a Kingston Flash drive 'ON SALE' from Fry's for $29.95, a.k.a. 30 smackers.

Since I'm leaving for the warm & dry climes of the Calif desert tomorrow, I transfered my Quicken files and a copy of 2002 Quicken to said Flash Drive. Dear hearts, it's got 36 MB left. Blows my mind.

Two years ago, I spent $130.00 on a LaCie SCSI 10 GB, external hard drive to carry my info from one computer to another ... Here's a teensy two ounce, 2-1/2 inch long gadget that holds 64 MB for $30.00. It's smaller than a "Match Box' toy car. Just plugged it in. Needed no other Driver. A CD with S/W came with it, but that's just for PeeSees.

What makes me sick is I just bought a Maxtor USB/Firewire External HD for $259.00 with the same thing in mind, two months ago.

Only need boot up the Calif PCP, plug the Flash Drive into the USB PCI card (that cost $10.00) and copy the files to my H/disk & I'm back in business. Unbelievable.

Makes a very affordable back up for your financial S/W.
