Just FYI for the unitiated:

Before the advent of the "C" key, you could boot up from the next available device by holding COMMAND-SHIFT-OPTION-DELETE at startup.

So, if you have a second HD, CD, or SyQuest with an OS on it, you could use this key sequence to boot from it in case of emergency.

The "C" key came into being right around the time of the PowerMac Beige G3.

Apple, not Power Computing, Macs can be booted from CD by holding
down just the C key.

In my experience the info above is incorrect. I have at least one of just about every model of the machines PowerComputing made and so far I haven't encountered one that could not be booted from the CD drive (providing the disc contains a valid system) by holding down the C key.

Here is a link to a good source of information on the PowerComputing machines:

The PowerComputing machines were and still are very good machines.
