This is so embarrassing....
after all the searching for an answer, and getting super help from several
of you great Power computing allies, I was gonna move the monitor to try
w/my 9600, and Lo and behold, one of the kids had 'borrowed' the cable from
monitor to computer!!! Of course there was no communicating between the
monitor and the PTP....they werent even speaking!!

The whole setup is hard to get at, so I just assumed it was plugged in like
I left it.
I'm really red in the face, I've been playing around with this baby for
years, and always checked cables, scsi's etc. Guess the old brain just ain't
as quick as it used to be, The new stuff seems to set itself up with just a
few clicks, and we had to basically be an electrician/engineer to setup and
modify out PTPS inthe'old days'. Solving probs was part of the work day!!

Still, the babe, won't recognize the TEAC cd rom drive, unless I have A
Norton CD in there and I restart with the C down. Even then, it doesnt use
the CD as a startup drive but does mount the Norton, although not a normal
CD. I have a 2nd external CD and a zip which work fine.
I am using a new hard drive in PTP, not the original. It has OS 9 on it, I
have FWB Tool kit, & The old CD driver that came with the orig. PTP drive,
and Speedtools. I've tried them all, and cant get that Drive recognized. Is
there something else that might work? Which driver should I look for on the
web, or should a new Apple driver work with the TEAC?
Mea Culpa,
BR
