That's funny. I used OS9 Helper on my PTP 225 with unmodified CPU and it works just fine. In fact, things load just a little bit faster, and startup and shutdown times are drastically improved. But I will admit that differences in hardware and software could cause incompatibility problems. I would try reinstalling 9.1 if I were you. My experience with 9.2.2 is that it doesn't really improve anything that much, and I wouldn't do it again unless I was running a program that absolutely needed it. I'm sorry about your troubles, though. Guess I was lucky in that regard. --Jack Mileur P.S. Netscape 6 and 7 run slower than molasses in January for me. For a classic browser, I prefer iCab, then Wamcom (a Mozilla build optimized for classic Macs) whenever I need the extra features of a Mozilla-based browser. -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
