I'M using a global Village in my PTP w Sonnet 500MHz G3 card.
IMNSHO, the Global Village is the better choice between it and the US robotics or the Best Data. Never had a Hayes so can't say on that.
The later extension in 9.1 cleaned up a lot of the problems with the US Robotics modems. THe glitches with a 56K US robotics on OS7.6, 8.0, 8.5 & 8.6 made a Global Village Customer out of this little black duck.(Daffy Duck)

Question to all.
What BRAND of 56K external modem works well with a PB 180? I am installing a Sonnet card so I don't think that a Global Village will work. There are lots on Ebay. Should I try a Hayes, US Robotics, Dynex, generic? I will be running it through the modem serial connection.
Thanks to all in advance.
