I've learned a lot today and many questions I had have been answered on this list. Thanks to everyone!
I do have a few more questions, after which I'll quit pesterring you for awhile. 1. If I get an ATA/IDE controller will I need to use HD or CD Toolkit? Are the drivers for IDE drives built in to 8.6/9.1? Will the IDE drive coexist with the existing SCSI drives? 2. I'm curious about what Audio/Video/TV cards might work in the PTP225. I have seen several available for the 8100 series using NuBus but none for the PCI models. A/V too much to ask for? 3. If a part says it will work in a PowerMac 9600, will it fit in the PTP225? Specifically I've seen some SCSI ZIP Drives, or CD-R drive. 4. Do I need to replace the daughter card to upgrade? Or, do I simply change the processor on the existing daughter card? Do these cards come with the G3 processor or do I have to purchase the processor seperately? Does a 350mhz 604e MachV card work? Would that be the fastest pre-G3 I can run in the PTP225? Thanks again for the help, Sean Once I was lost but I'm beginning to see the light! Can I get an amen? <g> -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
