Wayne at The Newkirk Herald is the resident expert on PowerWaves(which
compensates to some degree for his liberal political perspective).
The PowerWave is based upon the PowerMac 8500 (TNT or Nitro architecture), and,
like the PowerTowerPro, will work with after market G4 CPU's. It has 3 PCI
slots, but one is used by the (standard issue ATI) video card. Although the
PowerWave doesn't have the built-in AV capabilities of the 8500, it is one
heckuva lot easier to upgrade ram and whatnot than its Apple cousin.

The only excuse for not having it up and running yet is either fear of ridicule
herein (a valid reason), no spare electrical receptacles (an invalid reason) or
to dang many computers lying around (the likely reason).

Cheers...Michael
