You could try installing NetBSD (http://www.netbsd.org) on it. Getting the OS working is a great way of learning about it and you would be able to transfer some of that knowledge to the underlying BSD Unix of OS X, without messing about directly on the Mac at the risk of breaking it before you know what you're doing! NetBSD knowledge is also a good investment in itself, because it's a very portable system and so you will probably be able to run it on more or less any machine you like in the future.
Alternatively, I might be interested in some PowerCenter Pro spare parts myself, as my 210 is very dead at the moment!
Good luck,
Jeff

Hello all.
I have a PowerCenter Pro 180 which I have owned since I bought it new many years ago. It has been a great computer, but I just don't use it since I got my Dual G5s.
I still used it as a place to store fonts and to run some of my older apps, but now it is no longer in use.
My questions are as follows:
1) I am very Mac and technologically savvy without being a programmer so I am at a loss for how I could best use this machine when I have 3 much faster and more capable machines in use now. What could I do with this to make it a useful part of my more advanced network?
2) If I don't use it...where could I find someone who would be interested in a -- still in perfect working order -- PowerCenter Pro 180?
I would appreciate any and all suggestions.
Thanks.
Darren
