Friends,
Mr. Robert Baucom is more intuitive when he suggests
that there might be a Triumph Bonneville still in the crate.
One of these days I may look for it; or not.

                                                              Regards,
Mark Taylor

Rest assured, the former are much more reliable.
As to a search for the latter, simply follow the
trail of oil.

Cheers,

My 1964 TR6 SR is very reliable. AS is my Son's '70 TR6R and WAS my '70 T120 before I dismantled it, to invent and innovate ... three years ago ... As Pa Kettle would say, " Gonna get around to that one of these days."

NEW TRIUMPHS "Still in the crate" did not come with oil in them.

In 1973 I went to a dealers shop in East Texas, to take pictures to send back to the factory. A new Triumph 500cc (T100R) ... when the crate was opened ... it was full of floor sweepings and cigarette butts. On the inside of the 1/4" plywood side... was written "F.... you Yank." On the MC, the pressure oil line to the engine had a cigarette filter stuffed into it which would have ruined the rod bearings. Another example of the wonderful English Unions in action. Marge Thatcher brought sanity back to Merry Ole England before they went bankrupt ... like Russia.

Get the connotation ? ... worker's paradise and unions?
