(In case the first attempted message arrives, apologies for double posting,
however it seems like it didn't make it)

Hi all,

I am trying to enable Virtual Functions on the a ConnectX-3 VPI IB card via
SR-IOV which I can't seem to get to work. After rebooting with SR-IOV/IOMMU
options enabled mlx4_core fails to load just after the following in dmesg:

[   51.887808] AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT device=41:00.1 domain=0x0000
address=0x00000037f7beb000 flags=0x0050]
[   51.947372] AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT device=41:00.1 domain=0x0000
address=0x00000037f7beb080 flags=0x0050]
[   52.007661] AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT device=41:00.1 domain=0x0000
address=0x00000037f7beb0c0 flags=0x0050]
[   52.069120] AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT device=41:00.1 domain=0x0000
address=0x00000037f7beb040 flags=0x0050]

(4 VFs configured, device=41:00.0 is the device I'm targeting and
device=41:00.1 being the first VF)

I have contacted Mellanox support but they reckon it's a platform issue. Both
the sled and card have latest firmware, running Ubuntu Trusty and I have tried
multiple kernel and OFED configurations to no avail. Running through similar
steps on a Dell R630 (Intel) seem to work fine.

Also here in some more detail: https://community.mellanox.com/thread/3298

Any suggestions and pointers are welcome.

Cheers,
Lasse
