LOL - Your story sounds way to similar like the frustrations I went
through during the past week with synchronizing between palm, powerbook,
desktop, ical and lifebalance. Yay! Can't even say how often I rebooted,
had to reset the sync server via terminal (could not do it via isync)
and and and... the amount of hours lost! One of my biggest frustrations
is that even resetting data does not really work via the .mac server -
my moms address is STILL different on my powerbook than on my desktop,
even after resetting data and replacing... which SHOULD put PB address
book onto the desktop, and I don't want to be reminded of how many times
the address book just trashed my good and valid addresses with no
visible reason... MERGE means merge and not TOSS! Also, when you ad an
additional to it - e.g. like me with my cellphone - the havoc created
with so called "sync'ed data" is tremendous and definitely NOT what I
would call SYNC'ed - instead of 1 Joe Doe I have now 5 of which 4 are
just each an email address and 3 different phone numbers... ugh! The
other day I was so frustrated I wasn't even willing to help the coder's
try to debug, I just plain had it - LOL, that's just life with
computers... they APPEAR to be productive and great but went you really
begin depending on them they kick you into your shin... or worse :-)

Good to hear though that you salvaged the most, if not all.

I actually like PayPal dropping back onto credit card if the bank
account isn't solvent - just MY bank doesn't bounce it and so it never
goes to credit card, they pay and charge me high overdraft costs... so
yes, for me it's a bit of a joke, I think I need to talk with my bank
that they'll just bounce if not sufficient funds currently there. PayPal
is good for a lot of people, I actually like them because they allow me,
even though I could not accept credit cards, to get payed and people who
rather use credit card than direct bank deducts can pay me too!
