There is a program ($10 shareware) called MenuMaster by Unsanity.  It
allows you to assign keyboard shortcuts to any and all menu items.  It's
pretty simple and swift.  I use Quickeys, too, but as you've noticed,
there are things that quickeys just can't seem to do.
