Tried both Mail and Thunderbird. Never really loved Thunderbird, but it worked reliably. Under Mail, I would sometimes lose a copy of sent mail (10.4.5). The mail did arrive. I'd still prefer Mail over Thunderbird.
I recently decided to have my IMAP mail redirected to another POP account, so that I could get back to PowerMail. That seems to work well, although it makes me long for ssaved searches under PM, or smart folders. Then again, I also work with Daylite 3 (beta 4) which is well-integrated with Mail. I wish I could get it to work with PowerMail, but I do not know whether that is possible. >>I am about to move to IMAP only for my main email account.
