You're more than welcome, John. There are no stupid questions here. I've posed the most "stupid" question way before you anyway! I backup by making one zip-archive each of these items in "PowerMail Files": Address Database Attachments (<-important if you receive valuable originals here) Custom Dictionary (<-good to keep if you add items to it) Custom Scripts (-< only necessary if added scripts since last backup) Message Database (<- Most important) Message Database index (<-can be rebuilt, but takes a while) Server-side Database Setup Database (<-important) User Prefs (<-somewhat important) also in "~/Library/Preferences" com.ctmdev.PowerMail.plist Sometimes also in "/Library/Application Support/PowerMail" if I added any scripts there. Most often I haven't though. I burn these to CD. If I recently made one of these backups I instead search for "messages received after [the date I last made a backup] " and export these from the results window, by selecting all of them, and checking "selected messages" in the first export window and "include attachments" in the second. Then I backup the resulting file. (PM 5.2.3 Swedish | OS X 10.3.9 | Powerbook G4/400Mhz | 1GB RAM | 30GB HD
