Okay, I was able to "clear" the recipient I wanted to delete. Of course in the process of "clearing" from PowerMail's preferences for Address Book I ended up clearing ALL recipients. No problem, but for future reference is there a way to just clear ONE or more at a time rather than ALL and is there any way to view the recipients which accumulate over time? I understand the setting in preferences to "Remember recipients for xxx days" and I have it set to 999 days because in general I would prefer to save each recipient's address than not, but then how can I go back an selectively cull through the list of recipients one by one, etc. ?
If this is not possible wouldn't it make a lot of sense as a new feature, or not ? Comments please, TIA, John > <----snipped----> When you say "can't delete it" do you mean that it is now permanently in >the To field? Or do you mean that you can remove it but it keeps coming >back every time you start to enter a name that begins with the same letter? > >If the latter, you are most likely seeing the effects of the PowerMail >Address history. To get rid of this, do the following: > >1) Go to Preferences / Address Book >2) Find the line that says: "Remember recipients for..." >3) Click on the "Clear" button >4) Uncheck the box beside the "Remember recipients for..." for a >PERMANENT fix. >Tim Lapin
