While I'm not wise enough to add to the other answer, I can say I have a way to delete spams automatically on the server, which consists in 1) modifying the spam script to put spams in the trash can rather than in the "spam" folder, 2) set PM to automatically empty trash upon quitting 3) set PM, on this account, to automatically delete on the server those mails that have been deleted locally. This way, next time PM is launched and connects, my deleted spams will be deleted on the server. If you add to this the possibility to only download the first 10K of each mail (which is sufficient to get, as per today, 99,0% average efficiency since jan. 1, 2003 with SpamSieve) I end in a situation where I delete 99% of my spam on the server without having even downloaded a single one entierely. Of course, this only works for mails that you also delete locally... Hervé -- remove ".listes" and add a dot after fh please enlevez ".listes" et ajoutez un point après fh
