In response to Giovanni Andreani, A-NO-NE Music sez:

>I asked to this list, which got no response back then, that I suspected

>this wrong.

Maybe this isn't the list to ask. SpamSieve seems its the culprit here
and it may be better to check the SpamSieve site or list. Here is
information about subscribing to the SpamSieve Talk list: <http://
lists.c-command.com/listinfo.cgi/spamsieve-talk-c-command.com>. They have
a searchable list archive even, but one has to be a member to use it.

For what it's worth, I have spam that is missed as well. However, it is
spam that is being forwarded to me by a mail address I've ok'd as a
sender. SpamSieve knows it is coming through there and must be giving it
the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I can figure out how to make it catch the
spam coming from there too. Otherwise, some of my good messages
occasionally get rated with a bit of spam content -- and they do have it,
so SpamSieve is doing it's job as far as I'm concerned. I've had two
false positives since I've begun running the program in February -- and
I'm pretty sure those were actually me marking things good that really
weren't after all (I put them back as spam). I've had more messages I've
had to mark as spam, but it worked as advertised and put further messages
like that in the spam folder. Here are my current stats:

Filtered Mail
1163 Good Messages
1207 Spam Messages (51%)
12 Spam Messages Per Day

SpamSieve Accuracy
2 False Positives
69 False Negatives (97%)
97.0% Correct

Corpus
432 Good Messages
692 Spam Messages (62%)
36796 Total Words

Rules
308 Blocklist Rules
455 Whitelist Rules

Showing Statistics Since
2/8/05 9:03 AM

It'll be interesting to see how this holds up as I run it more and the
corpus and rules grow. Maybe it would be a good thing to rebuild the
corpus and rules once a year? Clear it of fake spam addresses that will
never show up again but are cluttering rules? I dunno...
