I agree with you. I always send and check email manually because I'd
prefer automatic checking to do so at specific times instead of the time
intervals as PowerMail does. However, my preference would be for sending
messages at specific times more than for receiving, because I've often
had to compose and send email at early morning hours and I've been
surprised that people assume that a wee hour time stamp on messages I
send means they can take advantage of my insomnia by calling on the phone
- waking others in the household. I think the only way to achieve what
you want is to use an AppleScript application that runs at specific times
telling PM to retrieve and send email. Or use a utility that can perform
tasks at pre-defined times, like QuicKeys.
