I'm pretty sure that there must be several ported apps from the Linux/ Unix world that can take an exported Unix mailbox file or other format and prepare it so that it can be easily imported into MySQL, PostgreSQL etc or converted to XML format. I'm interested in this idea myself, but I'm waiting for automatic export of messages in PowerMail, so one don't have to do this manually. Let's share our research and see if we can come up with a solution. Please contact me offlist about this (as anyone with similar interests). For now I have accepted periodic backuos of the whole DB and recent messages export to PowerMAIL format as the best solution for the moment. > would like to stay away from File Maker Amen.
