If you type it, there's no automatic editing (maybe there should be, or
an option for it). But, if you drag an e-mail/URL clipping from the
desktop, or from the address book, or copy/paste it in, they are added.

I agree with you here. I'm not for or against it. I just wanted to
present the rationale for why PM does it this way (I believe I understand
it correctly). There are forces beyond the mail client's control that may
hardwrap plain text email. In your experience it hasn't. As they say,
"more power to you!" :)

I think the above is what you're referring to. I was just pondering a
possible solution. This is not implemented.
