I have some wishes for a next release of Powermail:
1. Offer optional buttons (with a pull down menu) in the symbol bar:
- to file selected messages into a desired folder (helpful when not
working in the Post center window).
- to label a message
2. offer a command in the context menu of any mail list for the same purposes
3. like in Apple's Mail.app show threaded messages
4. Partially received messages: allow the command to download them
entirely also when a bunch of messages is selected and not all of them
are partially received mails. (Now the command is greyed out a soon as a
fully received message is within the selected group.) As alternative
offer a method to sort or to display only partially received mails (A
wish which concerns mainly mobile users with slow connections...)
5. Specially for those who use more than one computer (office/home) to
manage their POP accounts:
- offer an option to delete in a more targeted manner
mails from the server:
(now you can either delete all already received mails or
all deleted mails)
A "delete from server" field mark would allow
- to keep e.g. the mail where it is
- but to delete it during next server synchronisation
from the server in order not to receive it on
the other computer
6. Offer an option to display mails differently which are still on the
server:
- e.g with underlined characters, italic characters etc.
QuickMail has this useful feature
7. Make it possible to quote html-Mails when replying or forwarding
without the detour via a browser
8. A button for a fast change of the language for spell checking.
9. Please change this "bug": when the message is by coincidence listed on
the same height where the title bar of the opening mail window will be
placed after opening it: a double click on the listed message opens the
message window but the same double click is accepted by the window title
bar and hence the window is immediately zoomed down into the dock.
10. When clicking on a folder on the left highlight it immediately in
order to visibly acknowledge the click, do not wait until the folder
content is diplayed. This is a very minor wish for not so fast Mac's..;-)
Thanks
