Old, but this snippet of collected wisdom from Tim's PowerMail FAQ (following). If you did all four options from the PowerMail first aid dialog at startup, rebuilding the index from the File > Database menu is an ever-so-slightly different process. It cures the "Database Error Occurred - Class=DB, what=7, when=9" error which many people had whereas the startup/first aid would not. Last resort, check out Ben Kennedy's PowerMail Salvage <http:// www.zygoat.ca/products/pmsalvage/>. If you can get PowerMail's language encoding sorted out to your satisfaction, and your old database out of the tendrils of the LADY, PowerMail 5 may just work for you!
