Again I'm asking how PM uses the "Smart encoding" function for attachments. I sent a PDF with smart encoding to a windows user who couldn't "open" it (no precise description given). With the same Mail I sent a copy to an Apple user who could open it and forwarded it to this windows user per Mail.app. So he also could open it.
