The best place to start is Kubito's script "Open with Text Editor": <http://homepage.mac.com/wayneb/powermail.html> which is found on Wayne Brissette's PowerMail AppleScript page: <http://homepage.mac.com/wayneb/SW/Open%20_TextEditor.sit> I have done an extensive revision to save a thread in my own style-- padding the date numbers with zero, saving to my favorite word processor, etc. It's easy to do in AppleScript.
