Thanks Scott and Sherman for your suggestion to use the prefs to direct
outgoing mails to a specific folder. Really took care of my problem! I
noticed that option long ago and somehow immediately decided "it's not
for me -- it will override all my other incoming mail filters". Without
even trying it! Then I entirely forgot about it...

You replies made me actually try it, and guess what: it did not override
my other filters...!

Can't believe my mind was so stiff I didn't even try it out the first
time. Getting old, I guess...

Anyhow, I now have a working "Sent Messages" folder, and with an empty
space before the first letter it's placed just below the Out Tray --
exactly where I want it. And the Out Tray contains drafts only.  :-)

No more requests for a Drafts Folder -- I promise!!
