Yes.  I have tried by checking accounts individually, and this is (WAS!)
the only one that did this.

Solved (well, sort of.  Dealt with, anyhow.)  I  used your web2mail idea,
which was to deal with emails that PM was not able to deal with, by
downloading with Eudora.  I use eudora to collect all my mail from one
particular account, which the spammers seem to like a lot... it is the
account I use to register all domains.  Gets 100-150 spam a day.  So, I
ran it this morning (a Saturday AM ritual:  coffee and a Spam bagel).

Anyhow, while I had Eudora up anyhow, I used it to check on this account.
 It also d/l'ed 4 emails... and now the phantoms are gone.
