Hi Jérôme, thanks for the suggestion. However, it was something else. The 'unexpectedly quit' symptome even prevailed when the PowerMail User Folder was empty. So it had to be something user-specific, but on system level. I used a tool to delete all local system caches and, surprise surprise, new windows open again in PowerMail, without crashing the application. No idea how and which cache got currupted.
