Hi all,
As many of you might recall, late last summer I suffered a serious
corruption of my PowerMail message database. Almost always in such
situations PowerMail's built-in diagnostic and recovery tools will
successfully revive a partially-damaged database, usually with no loss of
messages; but as it turns out, on some rare occasions, heavier machinery
is required (particularly when the damage is from drastic disk
corruption, as was my case).
To that end I set out at developing a utility to recover messages, and
from that effort I have created a user-friendly application for
performing the task which I would now like to make available to anybody
who might need it.
You can read more about and download PowerMail Salvage here:

In order to try and recover expenses incurred during research and
development I will be charging a shareware fee which is affordably
proportionate to the value it should provide to someone in an emergency
like mine.
For the next several days, however, I would like to offer PowerMail
Salvage to everyone on this mailing list for a reduced nominal price of
just $19 -- if you would like to have extra insurance on hand so that you
need never fear losing your e-mail, you might wish to check it out.
Thanks again to CTM for their support in helping me to ensuring its
accuracy and reliability, and hopefully we will be able to keep this up
to date with future versions as PowerMail evolves. (A few of you may
have received this announcement earlier; CTM support suggested it would
be reasonable to post here too.)
Happy PowerMailing everyone!
-ben
