View > View Only... will open a little window you can use to filter by various fields (To, From, etc.). This should do the trick. Also, at the bottom of the list of messages (two or three pane view) there is an "eyeball" that calls up the same window if you click on it. Or click on the title of the column to change the sort order. That will allow you to find lots of messages by one author fairly easily without hiding the rest as View Only... will do for you.
