Hey Wayne.
That's exactly why there should be NO fixed wrap for incoming mail out to at 
least, say, 150 characters or so.  
And as I read it, the RFC document says that it "recommends", it doesn't say 
anything about it being law.  

In 1912, if someone wanted to get from the USA to England as quickly as
possible, 
it would have been the best recommendation of the day that they acquire a
ticket 
on a steam driven luxury liner - it could get you there in under three
weeks!!!!  
Nowadays, even without the Concord I think we can pretty much let go of the 
steam ship as the best answer to the problem of transatlantic travel.  :-)  

And again, where was this Koran of email when everyone else was creating
their 
email clients?  Seems to me everyone else had no trouble keeping up with 
technology.
