The error persists when you launch it: Do you have your prefs set up to
check for mail on launch? There's these options in PowerMail first aid
(hold down the command and option keys as you relaunch the app):

> Check the following if you experience trouble receiving and sending:
> _ Temporarily disable scheduled connections
> _ Purge outgoing queue

I once got the infinite loop effect when I had the internet accidentally
unconnected. Maybe one of these will sidetrack the error window till you
can figure it out. I'd also take a look at what internet activity, if
any, PowerMail attempts right on launch (with tcpflow or such). Worth a try.
