Just have to point out... If you have certain files severely fragmented, it doesn't matter whether the HDD is fast or UNIX OSes don't really require defragging. The file may need to be defragged just to keep operating properly itself. Although this could be done simply by copy/replacing it, you wouldn't need a fancy defragger.
