I'm using PM with CodeTek Virtual Desktop (hate typing that out in full each time but I'll be damned if I'm going to say "I've got Codetek's VD!) and the two co-exist perfectly happily. I don't think that having PM in demo mode should make any difference in this regard. Maybe a report of the problem sent to both CTM and Codetek might shed some light (although this usually prompt each software vendor to point at the other and say "It's their fault!").
