I don't think the above is a solution, although one never knows what will work. Command-N is a legitimate PM keyboard equivalent for opening a new Message window; it should not open a Mail message window if PM is the frontmost application. To do so would imply that the system is sensing an open and running e-mail client application, but defaulting to Mail for a keyboard command. That's not the same as the system requiring an e- mail client application and opening the default of Mail. I would check to see if Mail is running when the problem occurs (look in the Dock) and if perhaps PM has "dropped from the front" so that Mail is actually foremost. Who knows? --Ira
