4.2 is a good update to an already very good application, and some of it's new features (specifically the enormously improved search function) have more-or-less dealt with several of my wants and needs.
However, some of the things that people have been asking for for AGES (ie. as long as I've been using PM, which is about 3 years I think) are still absent. I'm thinking in particular of being able to set filters that act on messages BEFORE they are transmitted. It would be so useful to be able to have a filter that made sure that all outgoing messages send to addresses contained in the Work folder of my address book were set to use the Work account -- with the appropriate return address, signature, etc. At the moment I can only make that change after the message is sent, which rather defeats the object.
