I've written a script that does just that and a bit more. It will remove any named attachment and if you keep Spam to a folder to train SpamSieve it will remove graphics (.gif, .jpg, etc) from your attachment. I can't remember if I've sent it in to Wayne for the archive. It's called "Remove Listed Attachments". If it's not there let me know and I'll send it along. -- Andy Fragen TiBook 400/384 RAM - OS X 10.2.6 - PowerMail v4.2b8 PowerMail AppleScript Archives: http://homepage.mac.com/wayneb/powermail.html On Sat, Aug 30, 2003, Patrick Blum said: > >Hi, > >I'm trying to find a way to have emails with a specific type of >attachment - in this case the ".pif" and ".src" attachments sent with >emails from virus infected PCs - go directly to the trash when I receive >them. > >A filter and/or script seems the answer, but I can't work out how to make >one that would recognise a particular type of attachment (as opposed to a >sender's name, an address or some content, etc). > >I've been receiving over 100 of these emails a day through work and while >they don't harm my Mac, they are a nuisance.
