I am under OS X. I found it. I am trying to open the database but it is "rebuilding sort indices". Time remaining keeps going higher. It's at 1 hour 57 minutes currently (the database is 1.03 gb). I am hopeful that this will correct the problem and I will be able to use PowerMail again and have access to my emails. Fred --
