Since the issue of reformatting text seems to crop up here regularly, I thought the OS X users might be interested in a free package of Services called TextExtras.
I came across it mentioned in the Help files of Hydra, and haven't really had a chance to look at it properly, but the features list includes auto- indent, nest/un-nest, completion, and a lot of user-configurable geekiness.
