I was sitting here lamenting the display in the Browser window, I
didn't like the order. I preferred the order in Eudora ie From, Time and
subject. The Size/Attachment window I didn't like either because the
column was to wide. All I wanted to see was whether or not I had an
attachment. So I started playing with the columns and found you could
drag them in any order you wanted. The size/attachment column could be
resized to all that showed was the attachment icon. Now I have been using
PM since version 3 and I just found this out. Man do I feel really Dumb LOL.
If I may I would like to comment on another subject. What people
expect from a email client. I use PM and I have never had any major
complaints. Yet my wife uses Eudora, she almost has too. Most of her
email comes from a group of friends and most of them are on PCs. She gets
mail in formats I have never heard of. Tons of jokes and cutesy pages
which Eudora opens with no problems. When she forwards some of them to me
PM just can't handle them. So PM could not be her email of choice. Now I
even took the time(over two hours) to set the nearly 600 preferences
which Eudora has, Now let me beg the question why don't I use Eudora,
even with all the preferences there is one thing which I don't like and
you can't change. If you click on a mail folder in Eudora you open up a
separate window, in PM you open your list in the top pane. This was my
main reason for switching to PM years ago.The point of all of this is
that your choice of an email client is personal to your needs and likes
and dislikes. And it is impossible to find the perfect client to fulfill
all our needs. What we think is critical in our email client the next
user may not need or even want. Enough said time to come off the soapbox.
