I have tried all of these suggestions so far... Thanks everyone.. The reason why I experience this more than anyone else, I think, is because I have a TON of outgoing email... Almost every message I receive (usually several hundred a day) gets redirected upon receipt...
I have checked the "scheduling" and it is setup correctly.... The problem is they show up in the Out Tray as having a status of "Waiting".. Changing to it "Draft" and then back to "Waiting" sometimes solves it -- but not usually.. Usually if I close Powermail it will complain about "already being connected - do you really want to exit" (or something like that)... Then when I relaunch Powermail the emails will send... If that doesn't work, I have to go in and disable the outgoing queue and manually go in and change the status of several hundred messages in my Out Tray to "Waiting" status... What the heck is it connected to?... The "message status" window is not open... Netstat does not show any connections... Powermail thinks it is connected (and probably further thinks that it is sending email) -- but it's really not.. The bottom line is, practically everyone seems to experience this problem at one time or another... I just happen to experience it a LOT because of the volume of outgoing mail I have.... This should be an extremely ROBUST part of an email application.. Powermail's implementation of it seems to be very weak and a problem for many users... I never have any problems with any other applications on my system, there are no errors on the hard drive, I routinely run disk check utilities... I am running OS 10.2.6... I have attempted re-installing Powermail repeatedly.. I have trashed all my preferences and reset everything... Nothing has resolved this problem for longer then a couple of days... Right now I have over 400 messages in my Out Tray which I am going to have to go through email-by-email and correct the status of "Draft" to "Waiting"... I am really frustrated by this... Clearly it is a bug or a poorly designed part of Powermail... My opinion is that it is simply something which is very poorly designed and should be completely re-engineered.... I understand that Powermail engineering reads this mailing list... The mailing list is FULL of problems regarding this issue.... I think this is an issue they need to respond to and let everyone know when we can expect an email application which does not have this problem and can reliably send email.... If they are not going to acknowledge it as a problem or are unable to tell me when it will be fixed I am just going to have to switch email programs -- as this title says "I just can't take this sending email problem anymore!".... - Greg P.S. WHen I have messages in my "Out Tray", it is "Bold" as well...
