Perhaps I should rephrase myself -- this might be of interest for this group, or for the CTM staff.
Here it is: The OSX Server's Mail Service uses SMTP Authentication as follows: "Require authenticated SMTP using CRAM-MD5" + (option) "Allow PLAIN and LOGIN authentication". Now, if I check "Authenticate as user" in PM (inputting the correct user/ pass, of course) I still CAN'T send. But if I use Entourage, and check "SMTP server requires authentication"+ "Log on using" and input my username/pass I CAN send! (If I instead choose the "Use same settings as receiving mail server" I can't send from Entourage either). Anyhow -- from Entourage there is a least a possibility. Shouldn't there be from PowerMail as well? /Max G At 2003-05-13, 12:58 CET, Max Gossell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >I'm trying to set up the Mail Service provided by Mac OSX Server.
