Last week I started getting a message "Couldn't access spell checker" with every word I write, sometimes twice in one word. I am using Spell Catcher. This is an on-and-off problem, as it sometimes does not occur. There is no obvious (to me) reason for this.
I have played around with settings in PowerMail and in Spell Catcher to no avail. I tried to turn off spell checking altogether, but I can't see how to do it in PM's preferences. Apparently you have to check whether you want it or not. I don't want to uninstall Spell Catcher, as it's very useful in other programs. I understand that PM uses OS X's built-in spelling checker, but I can't find it as an option in the preferences.
