I use SpamFire to collect junk mail so it will not even appear in PowerMail. A few spam mails goes through anyhow, and I wonder if anybody knows about "Web Bugs" and how to avoid activating them.
SpamFire explains these as cgi scripts hidden in the email that collect one's email address, in order to verify they are real, active addresses. Now, if i get such a spam mail into PowerMail I wonder how they are activated: * Are they activated as soon as they arrive? * Are they activated when marked? * Are they activated when opened? Is there a way to avoid activation? /Max Gossell
