It's sort of a dumb work-around, but this what I do as well. I make three columns in my address book - first is the name: Jim Jones, second is the address: jjones@ guyana.com, and the third is last name: Jones. I select the last name column for the sort, and then shrink the window so just the first two columns show. That way, you don't have to be reminded what a kludge this method is every time you open your address book. Tony -- Anthony R.
