I checked DNS forwarding in the 'gateway options' panel. Restarted with IPNR.FBA and tried to connect from the powermac with PM. The timeout was still shorter than the connect time (I noticed no difference in behavior). Was there more that I should have been doing to effect the change that you proposed? Martin
