Thanks for describing your set-up. I receive about the same amount of spam but have had good luck using only SpamSieve. It currently has a 99.3% accuracy rate for my system.
Fortunately it virtually never makes a false positive error (i.e., putting a valid piece of mail in my spam folder -- I always check the spam folder before deleting just to make sure I don't miss any actual mail). The relatively small number of errors it makes -- false negatives (spam ending up in my in-box) -- are so infrequent that they are not irritating to deal with. One additional reason I appreciate the accuracy of SpamSieve is my experience from time to time of having my email bounced from colleague's computer (usually when they are waiting for a reply from me on a project with a tight deadline) because they use a much more aggressive but less accurate spam-blocker.
