Hello,

I have to go through a huge amount of mails every day.
So it would be very convenient, if I just could press the delete key to
move a message to the mail trash.

Or did I miss something?

All the best

search the OS X Server list for rsync, it was just discussed recently.

I like command-opyion-[ when viewing a message. Deletes, then open next.

Especially since command-[ goes to next message.

Doesn't work here either. I don't think it's locale or keyboard layout
specific. I can't find anything like that in the PM menu either so I am
puzzled.

Ooops. My bad. You have to have message window open for this to work.
I use 3-panes so it doesn't apply to me.

I work mostly with the current mail window.
What I don't delete from there, I usually archieve.

There it doesn't work, would be nice if it would.
Any workaround?

Subject: Notifications (again)
From: "Tim Hodgson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Date: Fri, 23 Feb 2007 15:03:34 +0000

Hi,

Sorry, a well-worn subject, but incidents keep reminding me of how
annoying this is.

The error notification options in PM are either 'play sound' or 'display
alert' (or nothing).

A sound is fine if you happen to be at the computer when the error
occurs, and you don't actually want to know what the error was.

'Display alert' is ok if you're on hand to dismiss the (modal) dialog,
and you don't mind having to dismiss several of the dialogs every time
you wake your Mac and it tries to check mail before the connection is
established.

Unfortunately, if you actually want to know what the error is, you
_have_ to choose 'display alert'. If adding an error log to PM is not
possible for some reason, could I suggest a couple of alternatives?

1) a notification option 'run Applescript'? Then maybe we could
construct our own error log.

2) Display the error in the status bar (is that what it's called?) at
the bottom right of the Mail Browser, and leave it there until the next
mail check.

By the way, am I right in thinking that mail connection errors aren't
logged anywhere else? I think I've been through all the logs in Console.

Lastly, sorry for the tetchy tone. I love PM really :)

Exactly!
I want PM to produce log file a la SMAPSieve, and display error
indicator in the status bar so I can go check the log in my
convenience. I have been asking for this for many years. Please?
Pretty please?

Is anybody here using PowerMail for their AOL mail?

Does it work well for you?
Would you say it is "as good as" the old AOL email software? (no
snickers, please)
I've dabbled in using PowerMail for AOL and it does seem to work for
what little amount I have used it. But I would like to hear from people
"really" using PowerMail for AOL, or if you used to and gave up on it,
and why.

Thanks!

It works well. The only reason I don't use PowerMail exclusively for AOL
is that I like to be able to click on AOL's button that reads, "Report
as SPAM."

Any kind of logging would be nice. Even if the errors appeared in the
form of emails in an Error folder.
