Also, please remember that a forum could be reflected in the mailing list and vice versa. At least some of Native Instruments mailing lists works like this. This could give the best of both worlds actually. It only have to be set up technically. The users, us, or the developers could also set up a support WIKI where questions could be posted and hopefully resolved or at least solution be presented.
