Thanks for the quick reply Tim. Actually, I did try translating with a translation widget (both traditional chinese and simplified han) and the string was unrecognized, even in smaller snippets. There is a tendency on my part to think of whatever happened as being somewhat "invasive", but since the characters are not really saying anything recognizable I'm putting those thoughts aside.
